Background:

Black Horse Hill Junior School was opened in 1967 and is situated in a residential suburb of Brikenhead, Wirral. It has a large playing field areas and a playground with extensive areas for play. As a junior school it has two form entry with eight classroom bases, an ICT suite, large assembly hall and library. The school believes strongly in fostering and maintaining strong links with the community. A wide variety of extra-curricular activities are available in the junior school, some of which are choir, cross-country, football, netball, recorders, judo, arts club, badminton and computer club. The school motto is 'Learning for Life' and it places a great emphasis on high achievement in the academic field linked to a development of pupils' social and emotional skills to prepare them for later life.
