Background:

Arrowe Hill Primary School is on the outskirts of Woodchurch and close to Upton town centre and Arrowe Park. It serves a community that comprises a cross-section of socio-economic groups. The school is on a large, secure site. The grounds include pleasant landscaped areas with seating and a playground with provision for outdoor games. The infant and junior departments are housed in spacious buildings each with its own hall and kitchen. A third building houses a computer suite, a library and a craft, design and technology area. There are also designated rooms for music, drama and for parents. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include dance, gymnastics, football, netball, rounders, cricket, athletics, swimming and orienteering.
