Background:
Bowring Comprehensive School is a secondary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is 11 to 16. The school provides a wealth of other opportunities and experiences for learning, through sport, art, music, drama, ICT and technology. It has a strong tradition for sporting activities. There are extensive playing fields, an all weather pitch, netball/tennis courts and a sports hall, which has been refurbished. Outside of PE lessons these facilities support a wide range of extra-curricular activities for the children and staff as a number of community group activities. The school'seeks to create a supportive environment in which all members of the community feel secure and able to develop their individual talents and interests.
