Background:
The school was founded in 1908 and has grown by over 100 pupils in the last eleven years. There is a major building programme taking place at present to upgrade their school buildings and to develop their two playgrounds. The school has a large number of extra-curricular activities such as visits to concerts and local places of interest, plus many after-school clubs such as football, keep fit, French, Spanish, needle work, cycling, choir, drama, ICT, art, recorders and instrumental tuition. The school has also take part in inter-school matches and swimming galas. The school's ethos is hard working and high achieving, while at the same time being caring and supportive and seeking to develop children's social skills.
