Background:

Founded as independent day school in 1913; situated in West Kirby on Wirral peninsula, drawing pupils from surrounding area. School strives for excellence for all, in all areas of the curriculum, in addition to which it provides 'the widest possible range of activities, opportunities and challenges for its students'. Pupils successful at national and international level in a range of sports. Strong in art, drama and music; participating in North West Creative Partnerships initiative; recognised by Arts Council as a 'lead creative school', one of two on Merseyside. Music successes included choir of the year at Liverpool Music Festival. Student involvement in school and wider local community ventures encouraged; pupils raise significant amounts for charity.
