Background:
Garston Church of England Primary School is voluntary aided and has occupied its current site since 1964. It draws most of its children from the immediate locality where most of the housing is council owned. The school has recently undergone major refurbishment including new windows, new fence and a total re-wire. It is a small school which has had a battle to survive due to numbers. This is a problem that has affected schools nationally as the school population declines. It is a family school and proud of its improved SATs scores and spirit to achieve. The ethos is that of a caring, Christian school that is supportive and positive for all who work and learn here. The ethos is special and often remarked upon by visitors.
