Present school opened in 1960; extension built in 1980; another in 1993; subsequently an infant room and ICT suite were added. Over-subscribed in most age-groups. All curriculum subjects taught; extra-curricular opportunities include Spanish, French, cross-country, football, netball, rugby, tennis, art and craft, and ICT. Large school choir, with more than 80 pupils; school orchestra comprises strings, brass and woodwind. Various charities supported throughout the year. Before-school care, from 8am; after-school care, until 6pm. Over-subscribed, with 1.6 applications per place. Health-promoting school; smoking ban on school premises; DfES achievement award (2001, 2002, 2003). Ethos: 'Christian school that seeks to promote learning, care for others, and respect for the world we live in'.
