Background:
Holy Family is a voluntary aided school, in the Catholic Archdiocese of Liverpool, which provides education for boys and girls within the age range of four to 11 years old. The present building was opened in November 1983 on a redeveloped site purchased from British Rail. Each school has its own hard play areas but share the field and the extensive wooded areas, which are off the photograph to the south. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include football, netball, cricket, hockey and rugby. The school aims to provide an environment, which enables the individual's child to develop academically, culturally, physically and spiritually to his or her full potential.
