Background:
Pensby Park Primary School is a semi open plan school built in 1970. It is an extremely attractive one-storey building, surrounded by extensive playing fields and a large playground. The school has a large pleasant hall with a woodblock floor. There are five main classrooms with wet areas adjacent, one of which is used four mornings a week by the preparatory school. The classrooms are spacious and fully carpeted. There is a well-resourced computer suite with enough computers. There is a resource area which has its own kitchen facilities in the preparatory school. A varied programme of extra-curricular activities is on offer at the school. The clubs available include computer club, gymnastics club, art and crafts club, judo club, study club and games club. The children enjoy creative dance as well as traditional country dancing and have an organised programme of gymnastics, games and athletics. The school aims to provide a safe and secure learning community where the whole child can develop and where all achievement is celebrated.
