Background:

Situated opposite the Royal Seaforth Dock, the school opened in 1954 and was extended during the 1960s. More recent additions include a parents' room and a computer suite. Adjacent to the school is a large playing field with a landscaped perimeter. It receives pupils from a wide area of south Sefton including Seaforth, Bootle, Litherland and Waterloo. The full range of National Curriculum subjects are taught, in addition to which the school operates a homework club and a range of extra-curricular activities including fitness, science and dance. The school is well-known for its musical activities, particularly its end of year productions. Close links are enjoyed with the community of Seaforth and the school raises money for charities such as Alder Hey Hospital, Water Aid and Operation Christmas Child.
